A. General description:
The raw material shall be prepared, processed, packaged and handled under strict hygienic conditions consistent with the principles of good manufacturing practices.
The raw material shall be free from any extraneous matter or other foreign matter contamination and shall be free from rodent or insect damage.
The raw material shall be supplied in suitably reinforced and hygienic packaging so that the stated shelf life of the raw material is assured when held under the recommended conditions of storage.
B. Process of manufacture:
(1) Shiitake Mushrooms are clearly washed before frozen and metal detected before packed.
(2) Shiitake Mushrooms are of the size 20-40mm,40-60mm,1/4 cuts , or the size Buyer requests.
(3) Shiitake Mushrooms are individually quick frozen, later the core temperate of each one reaches minus 18DC.
(4)Shiitake Mushrooms are packed in food grade polylined cartons then stored at minus 18DC.or less till dispatch to end users.
C. Packing:
(1)Pack size: 1X30lbs per carton; 1X10kg per carton or as buyer's request.
(2)Pack type: Corrugated export standard outer case, no nails, flaps are to be sealed with self adhesive freezer stable tape,the cartons is water proof, new polythene food grade liner.
(3)Labeling: Product Description, Country of Origin, Weight, Product Date (dd-mm-yy), Best Before date.(or as client's request)
D. Parameters of approval:
Size: 20-40mm,40-60mm,1/4 cuts, or as the buyer's request.
Color: the typical white and brown.
Taste and flavor: typical of shiitake, without any off-taste.
Foreign bodies and others: absent.
